Biscotti A La Vilanese

4 large eggs
1 cup sugar
I tsp baking powder
cup of chopped walnuts
1 cup oil
2 cups of flour
1 tsp lemon or anise flavoring
Small jar of maraschino cherries (drain and cut into pieces)


1. Mix all ingredients together
2. On a cookie sheet, create 3 or 4 small channels with foil paper as ridges to keep the batter from flowing into each other
3. Fill channels with batter and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes and then cool
NOTE: FROST while warm!


1 cup of confectionary sugar
1 tsp of lemon or vanilla extract
Milk (judge for proper consistency)

Directions for Icing:

Mix all together and add non-pareils (if desired)
Cut biscottis at a slant when cooled!
