Brothers and sisters,

It just dawned on me that the February meeting of the Burlington Lodge 2223 is just ten days from now on February 15th. Happy Valentine's Day to all!

This is the earliest meeting date in ages and it sort of sneaked up on me to remind everyone...and worse yet I never did get to compose my summary of the January meeting due to interruptions by a blizzard and more roadblocks. For that I sincerely apologize.

I promise I'll do a better job of communicating following the February meeting.

The highlight of the January meeting was the installation of 8 new members, 2 of which, Fran Amenta and Mary Ippolito, were reinstated. The other 6 were Nicholas Argenio, Stephen Ippolito, Maria Lombardo, Giaconda and Joseph Motta, and Christine Pratti. The camaraderie following the meeting was very enjoyable as no one left upon adjournment but stayed for cake and coffee and lots of conversation for quite a long time.

Meanwhile, this monthly February meeting is important because we need to be nominating officers for the lodge election to be held at the March meeting. In the interim I have appointed Nicholas Argenio to the position of Orator and chaplain and he will sit up front during our meetings.

I DO hope we'll have good attendance to discuss upcoming activities for the months ahead in 2022. I have several in mind to propose and also look for your input and suggestions.

In closing I would like to remind everyone of our lodge-sponsored February movie to be held at the Burlington Library on Wednesday, February 23 at 6:30.

The movie is the delightful comedy, "Ciao! Professore". Please attend and bring along some friends or relatives. I guarantee you'll enjoy it very much.

With thanks to John Lombardo for all his technical expertise, we were able to show "Bread and Tulips" as our initial film offering on January 26. Our Italian movie schedule is the 4th Wednesday of every month for the next 6 months.
